Happy Belated Thanksgiving

Here's my only photo from Thanksgiving Day. I was too busy enjoying great company to take the time to get the camera out. Isn't my turkey beautiful? I'm soooo proud of it, the first one I've cooked in about 5 years I think. What a fantastic day we had! Above all I'm thankful for my God and my salvation. Having my Mom here was outstanding! It's the first time we've all seen each other in over 1 1/2 years. Of course I've preferred to have all of our family here together, but I'm grateful for whatever God sees fit to give me. This is the first holiday we've had people over since GA, so it was great to have Mom, Kerrie & Chris and all the kids.

I also decided to go to the day after Thanksgiving sales for the first time in a few years. What insanity! I definitely couldn't do that every year. I was at the exchange at 5:15 and there were already no carts left. I ended up having to pay twice and make two trips to the van because I couldn't carry anything else. I have to say though, it was nice being done and home by 8 am. After that we lounged for a while and then took a trip up to Two Lovers' Point so everybody could see the view, since I'm the only one in the family who had been up there before. And it was a perfect day, a little overcast so it wasn't too hot, but plenty of blue skies to add to the gorgeous view. Here are some photos of us up there. I really love how this one of the kids turned out with the ocean in the background and the wind in their hair.
Our final destination was the PIC for a weekend of fun and relaxation at the water park. We had a blast and are now all home and worn out. Mom came with us to church this morning which was very nice. The kids loved introducing their Grandma to everyone they know. And of course all any one can say is that we look so much alike. It's funny, after all these years I still don't see it, but everyone insists so it must be.
Back to reality tomorrow. Back to work for Dave. Back to school for the kids. I'm not sure what's in store for Mom and I tomorrow, a lot depends on the weather and our energy level.

Time of death 9:15 pm

So my poor trimmer has finally bit the dust. A while back I broke the lift arm tha the blade runs along, I could still use it as long as I was gentle. Last night I thought I was being gentle but managed to break the fold out arm at the 6 inch mark. So I can still use it if my projects are smaller than 6 inches. Too bad scrapbook pages are 12 inches lol. So I'm in the market for a new trimmer, I want it to be sturdy but I don't want to spend a fortune. Anyone have any suggestions?

Cropper Hopper Ribbon Drawers

Anyone else buy them? I'm loving them for my ribbon on spools, but most of mine isn't. Is there anywhere that sells empty ribbon spools?
